Mission Rabies

The Mission Rabies event was a Surgery Truck Training program for the Post-graduate Veterinary students of Odisha Veterinary College.

The World Veterinary Services (WVS) organization joined hands with PFA, Bhubaneswar as the local partner to organize a training program for veterinary students. The program was from 21st November until 16th December 2016. The aim was to train veterinary students on the Spay/Neuter techniques of Dogs and Cats. This helps controls overpopulation of dogs which in turn helps control the chances of spreading Rabies. India has the highest rabies affected deaths in the World. World Health Organisation (WHO) has made controlling the over population of dogs to control rabies a priority.
